2023: Fani-Kayode Reveals Two Zones That Should Produce Nigeria’s Next President

Former Minister for Aviation in Nigeria, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has advocated two geo-political zones that should be allowed to produce Nigeria’s next president in 2023.

According to Fani-Kayode in a statement on his Twitter account on Tuesday, all six geo-political zones in the country have produced heads of state with full executive powers except the Middle Belt and Southwest.

He, therefore, urged that these two zones be allowed to present candidates for the presidential position in 2023.

He tweeted: “Every single one of the six geopolitical zones in Nigeria has produced a Head of State with FULL executive powers.

“However, the Middle belt and Southeast are the only two zones that have NEVER produced an ELECTED President with full executive powers.

“Both zones have a strong claim for 2023.”

Meanwhile, a political group has started rallying support for former President Goodluck Jonathan to be returned as president of Nigeria ahead of the 2023 general elections.

In a statement on Monday, the group called ‘Goodluck Must Run 2023 Movement’, is out to persuade Jonathan to listen to the calls of his supporters to once again serve the nation.

The statement signed by the Chairman of the movement, Pastor London Brown, and Secretary of the movement, Jones Ebi, said the group has started rallying support for the former Nigerian leader.

The group appealed to all stakeholders to work and make sure that former President Jonathan is returned to Aso Rock in 2023 as president of the country.

According to the statement, the movement said the reason for rallying support for Jonathan is to re-create wealth and ensure even distribution of such wealth to all sections of Nigeria.
