20 10 20 We’ll Never Forget – Wizkid, Davido Honour #EndSARS Fallen Heroes

Nigerian music stars, David Adeleke a.k.a Davido and Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, alias have remembered the victims of #EndSARS who lost their lives while protesting against police brutality.

The EndSARS protests which shook the world in October 2020, saw thousands of young Nigerians marching through major cities in Nigeria over two weeks.

Youths who were calling for an end to years of police brutality, assault and extrajudicial killings lost their lives at the Lekki toll gate and in other parts of the country.

To remember the fallen heroes on the 2nd anniversary, Davido took to his Instagram story and shared a memorable photo from the toll plaza with the caption; 20-10-2020.

Also, noted via his Instagram story that the events of that period would never be forgotten.

He wrote; ‘‘Never forget.

2 years on. We will never forget.”

Meanwhile, Nigerian youths on Thursday, assembled at the Lekki Tollgate in Lagos State to mark the second anniversary of the #EndSARS protests and #LekkiMassacre.

Ace rapper, Falz and comic actor, Mr Macaroni joined the memorial procession which started around 9 am on October 20, 2022.

At the procession on Thursday, coffins were carried to honour the memory of the unarmed protesters who were shot and killed by security personnel on October 20, 2020, at the Lekki Tollgate when they were singing the national anthem and waving Nigeria’s flag.

Videos which surfaced online shows the public figures and a large crowd marching through the streets of Lagos despite heavy police presence.

Musician, Folarin Falana popularly known “Falz” earlier announced that he will be joining the walk to “honour fallen heroes from the #LekkiMassacre #EndSARS.”

Activist and comedian, Debo Adedayo, also known as Mr. Macaroni, also that he would be participating in the walk in memory of those who had been brutalised by police.
